The expert team at SOPHiA GENETICS compared the performance of CleanPlex OncoZoom Cancer Hotspot Panel to three other commercially-available amplicon-based cancer hotspot panels using DNA samples of varying quality and quantity extracted from FFPE tissues. They found that Paragon Genomics’ CleanPlex OncoZoom Cancer Hotspot Panel provided the highest coverage uniformity and produced a high library conversion rate. When combined with SOPHiA for genomic analysis, the panel’s high-quality data enabled accurate and reproducible variant detection.

Sophia Genetics has compared CleanPlex OncoZoom Panel with three other similar-sized cancer panels based on three other major amplicon-based technologies. The following amplification plots show that CleanPlex has the best amplification uniformity (all amplicons’ read depths fall within 20% an 500% of mean depth while other technologies cannot achieve this). The study was published by Sophia Genetics at AMP 2018 Conference. Besides amplification uniformity, Sophia Genetics also concluded that CleanPlex has high library conversion rate and reproducibility even on bad quality FFPE samples.
