CleanMag™ Magnetic Beads
CleanMag™ Magnetic Beads allow for rapid, high-throughput purification of PCR amplicons. CleanMag™ Magnetic Beads are specifically formulated in a buffered solution to quickly bind PCR amplicons and other DNA products above 100bp, allowing for the removal of excess primers, nucleotides, salts, and enzymes. The reversible nature of the binding interaction between beads and PCR amplicons enables easy elution and separation following purification. CleanMag™ Magnetic Beads are designed to work with Paragon Genomics’ CleanPlex® protocols, and can also replace other SPRI magnetic beads.

Handling and Use
To prevent contamination of the CleanMag™ Magnetic Beads, use sterile laboratory techniques when handling the product. Allow the product to equilibrate to room temperature before use, and always vortex the solution vigorously prior to use to thoroughly resuspend the beads.
The volumetric ratio of the CleanMag™ Magnetic Bead solution to sample solution is critical to the size selection performance of the beads. Ensure accurate aspiration and dispensing of the magnetic bead solution by pipetting slowly and wiping droplets of solution out of the outside of the pipette tip.
Materials required but not supplied
DynaMag™ -96 Side (Thermo Fisher Scientific, 12331D) or other similar magnet for 96-well plate or 8/12-well strip tubes.
